The key elements of Behavior-Based Safety are: employee- management involvement, hazard behavior identification, observation, feedback, and intervention. Behavior-Based Safety involves a high level of interaction within the organization. By implementing its key elements, the entire workforce controls the safety process. Changes in work practices are developed and implemented by knowledgeable committees based upon progressive, long-term thinking.
